Vanderslice chosen as Miss Farm Bureau
JACKSON - Katie Vanderslice of Starkville, MS, was crowned 2009 Miss
Farm Bureau – Mississippi at the organization’s annual meeting
held in Jackson. The twenty-one year old poultry science major at Mississippi
State University edged out six other contestants for the crown.
Vanderslice represented Jones County in the pageant. She will now be
a spokesperson for Farm Bureau throughout the next year. She received
a $2000 scholarship for winning the event.
