Farm Bureau honors Bryant with Friend of Agriculture Award
Jackson – The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation presented its
Friend of Agriculture Award to Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant of Brandon.
In November, he was elected to be the next Governor of Mississippi and
will take office in January.
“Phil Bryant has been an advocate for agriculture in his role in
the Mississippi Legislature,” said Farm Bureau President Randy Knight.
“We hope that this support will continue during his years as the
Mississippi’s Chief Executive.”
“Farm Bureau has always been an advocate for agriculture and I’ve
depended upon them for many years for information that will help the farmers
of this state,” said Bryant.
Bryant served as the 2008 Honorary Chairman of the Republican Lieutenant
Governor’s Association and is a past president of the Mississippi
Republican Elected Officials Association. He currently serves on the National
Lt. Governor’s Association Executive Committee as the Southern Region
Republican at Large member.
