Farm Bureau honors Bryant with Friend of Agriculture Award

Jackson – The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation presented its Friend of Agriculture Award to Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant of Brandon. In November, he was elected to be the next Governor of Mississippi and will take office in January.

“Phil Bryant has been an advocate for agriculture in his role in the Mississippi Legislature,” said Farm Bureau President Randy Knight. “We hope that this support will continue during his years as the Mississippi’s Chief Executive.”

“Farm Bureau has always been an advocate for agriculture and I’ve depended upon them for many years for information that will help the farmers of this state,” said Bryant.

Bryant served as the 2008 Honorary Chairman of the Republican Lieutenant Governor’s Association and is a past president of the Mississippi Republican Elected Officials Association.
